Our gift shop caters for anyone wanting that special gift with a difference.  We specialise in gifts that are not mass-produced, but are created by local artists and craft workers, imported from Fairtrade organisations and made from sustainable resources.

We have an ethical purchasing policy which means that at least 25% of our goods are sourced from ethical suppliers.  Here are just some of the ranges that we have in stock for you to buy….

We support Fairtrade producers and stock giftware made in various countries by people paid a fair wage for a days work,  Cards and giftware from Shared Earth produced by Indian, Philippino and Malaysian cooperatives, as well as soft toys made in inspected factories by Keel Toys and candles made from organic ingredients with no paraffin by Heaven Scent Incense. We are just introducing new Fair Trade lines from Rainstick Trading in the form of traditional instruments for all ages, from Natural Nomad we have in stock recycled silk skeins of yarn, hats belts and scarves and we support the drive for re-usable shopping bags with a range of cotton fairly traded bags and recycled newspaper bags to use as giftbags for special gifts

We help local artists and makers and have beautiful glass jewellery by Donna Evans alongside the wonderfully tactile turned wood of Martin Pigeon

Local people also sell their published works through our Eco- Zone giftshop and alongside a wide range of books catering for the amateur and not- so-amateur naturalist we have a stock of locally printed walk guides and biographies of local people and even dogs!

We have a wide range of  greetings cards to suit all situations and celebrations!

Recycling is important for the future of the planet and in the giftshop a wide range of products are recycled- pencils made from cups, mouse mats made from tyres and even some of the bags we use to put your purchase in are made from newspapers from around the world.

We prefer unusual and traditional toys for children, rather than mass-produced items and stock traditional wooden toys alongside a variety of educational toys and nostalgic toys from your childhood.
