UPPER GALLERY EXHIBITIONS 2008
This Year the Natural World Centre is pleased to host a series of exhibitions highlighting sustainable living:
1st April- 20th June
Here Come the Locavores- Are you a Locavore? This new term relates to people who either grow their own food or source their food from local producers (within a 100 mile radius). This fascinating exhibition brought to the Centre by SustainNK demonstrates how to live a sustainable lifestyle, eating food that is in season and local.
12th July- 2nd September
Alternative Transport- How do you get about? This exhibition will explore the many different methods of transport available to the modern world.
6th September- 19th October
Natural Sustainable Housing and Eco Builds: Bricks and mortar are not the only alternative, this exhibition will investigate the many renewable resources that can now be used for construction. Maybe you will be enthused to create your own Grand Design!
1st December- 4th January
Christmas Crafts A welcome return for our local craftmakers to sell their wares. Pick up a unique gift for a loved one at a reasonable price. This exhibition has become a staple of the Natural World Centre calendar and attracts more visitors every year- a much cosier tradition than the Christmas market!
